WW1 & WW2 BATTLEFIELDS
This tour will take you to the most famous battlefields of France, in the Somme and Normandy. A rare look at history, then and now.
Day 1:
airport transfer upon arrival in Paris. Bilingual driver will pick you up right after the customs duties and will drive you to your hotel in Paris.
Check in your 4-star hotel.
Meet your guide who will take you for Lunch at the Eiffel Tower (Lunch not included, reserved only)
Afternoon, city tour of Paris, see all the main sights and highlights.
Evening on your own in Paris.
Day 2:
Breakfast.
check out your hotel in Paris. Your guide will pick you up early and will drive you directly to Chateau Thierry (American WW1 site).
Lunch on your own.
Visit of Compiégne (armistice carriage), visit of Blerencourt (famous WW1 site).
Sleep near Amiens, hotel best western Grand hotel***
Evening and Dinner.
Day 3:
Breakfast
Full day on the Somme Battlefields. Lunch on your own.
Evening and dinner at your hotel in Amiens.
Day 4:
Breakfast
Vimy Ridge trenches, Ypres salient (lunch on your own).
Overnight in lille, hotel 4 star, hotel Carlton. Dinner included.
Day 5:
Breakfast
WW2 sites at Saint Omer, visit of Dieppe (Canadian landings), Caen (visit of the war museum. Lunch on your own. Bayeux.
Check in the 4-star castle of Sully. Dinner at the castle.
Day 6:
Breakfast
Landing DD beaches (Gold, Sword and Juno, Omaha, Utah) , war museum. Lunch on your own on the beaches.
Visit the U.S. cemetary.
Return to the castle of Sully. Evening and dinner at the castle.
Day: 7
Breakfast
Visit Falaise Gap, Mortagne.
Lunch on your own.
Return to Paris. Check in your 4-star hotel.
Day 8:
Breakfast
Transportation to CDG airport.
