Toulouse, the pink city of France
Guided Tour: You can hire you own guide for a private guided tour of Toulouse and around. The city of Carcassonne and tastings of the blanquette of Limoux (liquor).
Gascony, the Musketeers country: This trip will allow you to combine cultural discovery with local cuisine, so dear to Gascony : Auch cathedral, a foie gras farmhouse, the small walled village of Larressingle then an Armagnac (eau de vie)
tasting session.
Lourdes and ST. Bertrand de Comminges:
This trip will take us as the foot of the Pyrenees. Lourdes may shock or fascinate, but it's a place to be seen, to be understood. As for St Bertrand de Comminges, this village is an old heritage of the religious devotion.
The Moissac cloister and Montauban, the Ingres gallery:
Cahors wine tasting: visit of cellars and St. Cirq Lapopie village, the lot. This trip will take you in one of the most beautiful département (county) of France: the Lot. We'll go to St Cirq Lapopie, set straight above a cliff, then we'll come back to Cahors, important city during Middle Ages, embellished by pope John XXII.
St Cirq is one of the most beautiful villages of France. Its steep and sinuous streets, its half-timbered houses will allow us to immerse in everyday life of our ancestors. From the top of the castle remains, you'll discover a very fine scenery.
Our Favorite Castle Accommodation near Toulouse:
Castle of Garrevaques: near Toulouse and Carcassonne. Château de Garrevaques is a warm and welcoming family home, and as cheerful and inviting as these photographs indicate. If a personal touch is what you desire, this unique residence offers that and more. It proudly sits in its own 8-acre park surrounded by stately trees and vast lawns. A swimming pool is the focal point of outdoor activity and is available for the enjoyment of château guests.

Chateau de Garrevaques is occupied today by the fifteenth generation of the family who constructed it in 1460. It survived extensive damage during the French Revolution, but was rebuilt late in that century to stand today as a beautifully decorated, tastefully restored example of the architecture of the period and the region. Guest rooms are adorned with gilt framed mirrors, sparkling chandeliers, exquisite wall coverings and fabrics, rich parquet flooring and antique furnishings, while hand painted wallpaper dating from the early 19th century depicting classical scenes can be found in the main salon. Monsieur and Madame Combes have the comfort of their guests as their paramount concern, and to that end they offer superb meals of foie gras maison, confit, cassoulet or poule au pot, regional dishes served in a pleasant family atmosphere.
DAY TOURS: with your own driver guide from Toulouse
The TARN region & the canyon Gorge of TARN: Albi, and on the southern edge of the Cevennes, this 150 km long canyon leading up to the source of the Tarn river is a grandiose site. From the roman village of Ste. Enimie, located high up in the canyon, it is a short drive across the Causses to Roquefort, home to one of France's most well-known gastronomic treasures.
The Corbiéres, Carcassonne: This compact range of mountains, up against the eastern ramparts of the Pyrenees, is a land of sun and vineyards. It is also home to the various Cathare chateaux, built in the 11th-12th centuries, each perched incredibly and precariously on a rocky peak, and the incredible walled city of Carcassonne.
Perigord & Dordogne: Two river valleys, the Dordogne and the Vezère, define this region of incredible beauty and history. Beauty, because each village, each hamlet, each road is a rare jewel (with the crowning jewel being the medieval city of Rocamadour). History, because the Perigord has remained true to itself, and one of mankind's ancestors, the Cro-Magnon man, was native to this region.
The Pyrenees & LOURDES: This majestic mountain chain that efficiently separates France from Spain, from Atlantic to Mediterranean is a wonderful destination for a daytrip.
Amonst the many things to see and visit are the Cirque de Gavernie, Lourdes, the Gave de Pau, Andorra and much, much more.
Gascony: Between Toulouse to the east and the lands to the west, Gascony is renowned for its art of living, characteristic rolling green hills and a large supply of picture perfect villages that have maintained their authenticity. Those who seek to discover la France profonde will find here a wonderful day trip.
Bordeaux or Cahors vineyards: Welcome to the most famous wine-producing region in the world! For this day trip, we are awaited in some of the most prestigious châteaux. We will visit, learn, and absorb the ambiance. At the end of the day you (but not us who are driving) will have had occasion to sample some of the most prestigious vintages sought out by connaisseurs everywhere.
