Fly from England to France in a private twin-engine plane with a military expert guide. An overland & aerial tour of the D-Day Normandy Beaches. The only practicable way to complete a tour in one day of the principal sites of the American Landing Sector of the D-Day Beaches from the UK is by light aircraft charter. The tour includes flights, lunch, transfers, all miles of travel by car around the sites, and guide services.

Schedule and itinerary:

7am: Pick up by executive car from their London Hotel or by air from other areas.

9am: One hour flight from Oxford by Piper Seneca operated by AirMed to Carpiquet Airfield, Caen, Normandy.

10am: Collection from Carpiquet Airfield by car with their own guide for a 6 hour unforgettable visit to the following sites: The Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches, The medium gun battery at Longues sur Mer complete with guns in situ, Omaha Beach, The American Military Cemetery at Colleville with 9386 graves, Pointe du Hoc, Ste Mere Eglise or the German Military Cemtery (as time allows)

4pm: Board aircraft at Carpiquet.

5pm: Arrive Oxford Airport.

7pm: Arrival at London hotel or other area by executive car.

A private guide, specialising in the WWll and the military, will meet you in the morning at your London hotel and drive you to Fairoaks Airfield in Surrey.

Boarding a twin-engined aircraft, fly over Portsmouth Harbour before crossing the Channel. During the hour's flight your guide, with the help of charts, will brief you on the strategic situation in the European Theatre during the months before D-Day - naval, air, military strengths on both western and eastern fronts; Hitler's command style against Churchill and Roosevelt's and the tactical dilemmas facing both sides.

You can then either fly south-west to circle Mont Saint Michel, landing at Dinard for lunch at northern France's most renowned fish restaurant, or land at the seaside resort of Deauville famous for its racecourse and golf links, followed by a short road trip for lunch in the pretty town of Honfleur. Afterwards we fly you home.
